Typex, geboren 1962, lebt als Illustrator, Comiczeichnert und Maler in Amsterdam. Seine Liebe zu Pop und Musik zeigt sich in Hunderten von Porträts, die in Musikmagazinen wie COR (NL) und Mojo (UK) erschienen. Er illustriert für Magazine und Werbung in unterschiedlichsten Stilen. Comics zeichnet er seit seiner Jugend, aber den großen internationalen Durchbruch hatte er 2013 mit seiner Rembrandt-Biografie, die er im Auftrag des Rijksmuseum Amsterdam zeichnete.
